Clinical Nurse Specialist
Remote w/ 75% travel. Candidates must be based in California, Arizona, or Nevada
The Quanta Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide clinical leadership, education, and support to provider organizations (hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and dialysis clinics) demonstrating interest in Quanta Dialysis Technologies QDS hemodialysis device, therapies and products. The primary focus will be to facilitate successful program introductions, growth and continuous improvement in practices and patient outcomes.
Our ideal candidate must have training and precepting nurses who are learning the Quanta Dialysis System (QDS) with a focus on ICU and CRRT. This is not a direct patient care position. The nurse specialist will need to be open to a heavy amount of travel (plane/car) and overnight hotel stays. Your weekly schedule may include onsite trainings, remote trainings, go-live support and work from home administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide QDS device training to acute & chronic nurses on how to use our system in their defined settings to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Deliver approved training curriculum and education tools to the Training Nurses to ensure successful partner training. Responsible for “Training the Trainer” model. No direct hands-on patient contact shall be allowed.
- Provide support to trained nurses during their go-live implementation of the QDS system within their clinical settings. Deliver on site support and reassurance on any QDS questions.
- Provide information to physicians and ancillary clinicians to support Quanta Therapy prescribing and appropriate patient referrals.
- Plan and implement regional educational sessions as necessary (basic, advanced) for nurses and patients with approved Quanta resources.
- Provide support and assistance in the development of new programs (organization, quality tracking, systems, processes).
- Work collaboratively with all members of the Quanta Team to ensure growth and utilization of the Quanta devices.
- Work collaboratively with the Clinical Team and Sales, to develop strategic account planning and targeting; to ensure teamwork and proper allocation of nursing resources.
- Work with the Sales Team to improve and maintain center and patient retention within their geographical area, prioritizing activities based on account tier.
- Maintain clinical competency through nephrology literature, meetings, Quanta products and services and their clinical application.
- Responsible for maintaining appropriate documentation and utilization of the Quanta contact management system (CRM).
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (required); Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Dialysis nursing experience required
- Nursing experience within an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) environment
- Nursing experience delivering Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
- Certified in Nephrology Nursing (CNN) preferred
- Training and precepting experience necessary, ability to influence a room of nurses.
- Ability to troubleshoot on the fly with technology, pushback to change and innovation while staying calm under pressure.
- Willing to travel (75% will be required in position – Extended time away from home)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for 4 hours presentations
- Ability to travel to and from customer site locations
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
