As Principal Mechanical Design Engineer you’ll be a technical leader responsible for setting the strategic direction for mechanical design initiatives at Quanta. This senior-level role combines technical expertise with leadership, providing guidance to engineers, driving innovation, and optimising product design and manufacturing processes. The Principal Mechanical Design Engineer will play a critical role in evaluating emerging technologies and fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement within the team.

Quanta is focused on the commercialisation and ongoing development of QDS, an innovative cartridge-based haemodialysis system. QDS is a high performance, compact haemodialysis system which is revolutionising this market sector.

As the preferred candidate for the role of Principal Mechanical Design Engineer you’ll have:

• Extensive experience in medical device design and high-volume manufacturing, including injection moulding and assembly. Other high integrity, safety critical sectors can be considered.

• Mastery of CAD/CAE software ( including Solidworks) and comprehensive understanding of quality standards, regulatory frameworks, and QMS processes, particularly BS EN ISO 13485.

• Proven track record in technical leadership, with strong skills in architecture decision-making, mentorship, and guiding technical direction.
